Vocational and Technical Education in Corpus Christi

At South Texas Vocational Technical Institute, we provide the opportunity for our students to gain hands-on experience as they study for their new career. We aim for our students to be career-ready upon program completion. We provide career services assistance for current students and ongoing assistance for program graduates.

STVT CORPUS CHRISTI PROGRAMS 

Combination Welding

COMBINATION WELDING

Start building a versatile skillset which can be applied in several industries with our Combination Welding program. Students can gain exposure to NCCER Core and level 1-3 competencies, practice common industry welding techniques, train for a welding certification* test, and more.

CDL Training: Class A Tractor Trailer*

CDL TRAINING: CLASS A TRACTOR TRAILER*

Your passion for driving could be the spark for a fulfilling career as a long-haul driver. Our CDL Training: Class A Tractor Trailer program teaches students a driver’s responsibilities at pickup and delivery points, defensive driving techniques, trip planning, and more. 
Award: Certificate
Length: 160 clock hours credits, 1-2 months
Learning Mode: In-Person

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, & Basic Refrigeration

HEATING, VENTILATION, AIR CONDITIONING, & BASIC REFRIGERATION

Maintaining air quality, servicing climate control systems, and providing customer service are three important aspects of a career in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, & Basic Refrigeration. Explore natural gas and electric heating systems, basic electrical theory, piping design, and more in our HVAC & BR program.
